The planet Mercury will go retrograde on September 23, 2008 and will return to it's direct motion on October 15th. This process happens 3 times per year.
The celestial movement appears to be going backward from it's normal forward motion, relative to the Earth. This movement lasts for about 3 weeks and is called retrograde motion, RX for short. Mercury has to do with all communications. RX is to modify normal expression.
Mercury's function is no longer active to it's own essential nature of communicating. So, there is an attenuating or dimming process that takes place in the expression of ourselves.
We find ourselves retracing, reviewing and reevaluating information. We hear from people from the past, we finish reading that book we put aside months ago and we have a better perspective in which to rethink a situation in a new manner. It's like a summing up of things that have been on hold. This helps purify and reorganize the mind.
Because the mind is now focused on the leftovers of life, it's hard to concentrate one's thoughts on the world we operate in today. So, there is a problem with transactions, negotiations and contracts. Things get lost, misplaced, or forgotten. We put down wrong information and forget to read the fine print. Computers, telephones, and all forms of communicative and transportation devices fail or get loss. These then produce delays, broken promises and agreements, rearrangements and readjustments.
This does not mean that you should avoid signing documents. it does mean that you have to scrutinize all communication carefully. Still in some way there could be an error that causes a problem and returns the information or item back to you to review and correct.
Retrograde provides us with an opportunity to review and analyze our thoughts, words and motives, to correct or resolve errors from the past and make amends because of a better understanding of elements that have beneath the surface. This strengthens not only our spirit but the raw and organic functions of our dense body.
