Pluto in Capricorn

On November 27^th of 2008 the planet Pluto entered the sign of Capricorn and will remain there until November of 2024. Before I begin my analysis of what this means to you, and our country, I need to explain the ingredients of Pluto and the sign of Capricorn so that you better understand the signature and significance of this astrological placement.

On January 21, 1930 during the depression a heavenly body in the dark shadowy and cold recesses of our solar system was discovered. Once again, Cosmic Law says that when humanity begins a new chapter of evolution the materialization of a new planet will become visible to the masses, making us conscious of it physically. Clyde Tombaugh was given credit for this discovery but it would be an 11 year old school girl from Oxford, England, Venetia Burney that would summit the name Pluto and then get the approval of the Lowell Observatory where it was discovered.  This planet was named after the Greek god who ruled the underworld. Therefore, we know immediately that this planet is very powerful and it rules an unseen reality. It was assigned to be the ruler of the sign Scorpio, a sign that is deep, intense and passionate, and given ruler-ship over the eighth house of the Zodiac which governs life, death, credit and taxes.

Pluto rules the collective whole. The reason for this is that Pluto moves so slowly it can remain at the same degree for a couple of years. At roughly 10,000 births per day for 2 years I think we can understand why it rules the collective because it affects so many people all at once. When we say underworld we can start with the mundane and say that it deals with things beneath the surface: minerals, jewels, gold and silver, oil, gas and coal and crops which supply our food. Then we need to look at what is within a human being, dealing with our soul, spirit, and ego as well as our cellular or genetic make-up. It has ruler-ship over life and death or opening and closing of chapters of our life. This planet deals with bringing about not just change but transmutation. This is why volcanoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and nuclear weapons are ruled by Pluto, for these are not just changes, they are times in which nothing will ever be the same after they are presented to humanity. Pluto is power, conviction of thought, determination and persistence that facilitates the process of evolutionary chapters for the collective whole. Think of it this way: Pluto rules puberty. One willing closes the chapter of childhood and embraces the teenage years. The ego begins to flex its muscle and the physical body will never look the same again. This is one of many cycles in which the path one is on is no longer viable to one’s growth. Insight and a better perception of oneself and life emerge. One then empowers the self to experiment and explore new paths in which a great deal of uncertainty lies but one’s curiosity prevails. Death and rebirth are a constant. Getting a new job, moving across the United States, marriage, and certainly having a child are a process of transmutation and resurrection.

This planet was discovered during the depression when it brought a tragic conclusion to a way of life for the masses, but it also brought about a slow but determined rebirth through the efforts of the federal government and the people. This is what this planet is all about. It brings to the surface, from the soul to the ego, all that is no longer relevant to your growth or a nation’s growth. Things that have outlasted their useful purpose are brought to a stressful conclusion. Because these non-functioning elements are before you, it gives added perception and insight. Then you or the nation is forced to act through self-empowerment to get rid of the old, the stagnation, and begin the new. Here lies the problem: this planet does not do anything with a snap of a finger.  Just as giving birth to a baby is a process of transmutation that takes 9 months, so is the process of Pluto which can take years. While we may not fully understand the changes that are going on in the world of economics, be assured that like the depression our country went through years ago, we shall rise again from this very humbling moment that we exist in today.

The sign of Capricorn deals with titles and responsibilities. The king of the castle, so to speak. Usually the more responsibilities the more elevated our position. But this business of being the boss then grows into corporations, higher authorities as well as bureaucracy and the government. These are positions of power that make rules, regulations and even set boundaries. It’s like being a parent, because of our values, morals and integrity we instilled these same set of principles on our children fore we have elected to be their caretaker. But as we all know not everyone, not even members of our family, will go forth in a matter of propriety. There are those that want to break the rules.

This planet, Pluto, is in its embryonic stage but already it is bringing about changes that are transmuting our lives and nation. This planet in ruling the underworld influences minerals, gold and silver, oil and crops. We have already seen the prices of these things go up, giving its wealth to those in position of power but causing financial hardship to the collective whole. More and more corruption will come to the surface and become exposed. The collective whole that it serves is ready for change, the new alternatives, wind and solar power, electric and hybrid cars as well as better use of our natural resources. However, the catch is that those old and worn out conservative ideas are still being embraced by the bureaucracy of the past. Therefore, Pluto will in time close out those chapters so that the re-birth of our nation using new and innovating forms of energy will become the new standard.

So, to recap, Pluto rules death, rebirth, transmutation, the masses or collective whole, the stock market, taxes, credit cards, the Federal Reserve and health insurance. Look for absolute disasters in all of these areas with reformatting to follow.  Capricorn rules the establishment, corporations, leaders or rulers, laws, rules and regulations. The same applies here; elements of disaster are brought to the surface, recognized and then the process of changing the basics begins because they have outlived their relevant purpose.

Now let’s begin with the chart of the United States. Pluto began on March 8^th of 2008 to oppose the planet Venus in the chart of the U.S. This aspect creates chaos, confusion, stress, and loss or separation with Venus things. Venus is the planet of love, partnership, balance, the luxuries of life and the money to buy them. It will affect the masses not only this year but be even stronger next year running till the end of 2010. More and more job loss putting the unemployment rate into the double digits. Because of this the housing industry will see greater home foreclosures. On a personal level it will test relationships. Many will fail because their relationships border on the superficial level and most are not equipped to deal with the intense problems caused by lack of money due to loss of jobs and homes. It is a time for survival of the fittest. Look for the divorce rates to be at an all time high. We need to understand here that many people in various positions will be exposed and fall from grace. The more powerful the person the more likely they will fall in disgrace. Those relationships that do remain intact will be much deeper in an esoteric sense. The rebirth of the partnership, I think we call this true love. This aspect also tells us the economy is going to be ever so slow in its recovery so be very careful with investing in the stock market. Venus rules money and because of the opposition which brings out unscrupulous behavior, look for an increase in counterfeiting which will cause a lot of changes in our currency as well as its value. Also, the crime rate will reach all time highs. Don’t be surprised if riots break out in most major cities for people are becoming less and less tolerant of others.  This aspect also deals with sexually transmitted diseases, especially HIV, gonorrhea, syphilis and these as well as new diseases may be even more resistant to medication that is now available. This may help in the return of basic morals and values.

While at this moment the banking system appears to be getting some control, in 2010 look for more banks to fail and the government may have to nationalize them. Major corporations will be getting rid of their present CEO’s and restructuring or merging their companies. The stock market will have more rules and regulations because there will be more Bernie Madoffs’ being exposed with the masses losing even more money. It’s amazing how some people will sell their soul for the seduction of greed. It’s not only the stock market and the car companies going through this rebirth, but look for major medical companies to be gracing the front pages of our news with products being recalled with lawsuits to follow. The U.S. will slowly clean up its act and get rid of the old and introduce the new but once again it will be a struggle. Revolution comes about because of evolution. The majority of our nation is ready to embrace these new frontiers, most of us are already recycling our glass, metal and newspapers as well as going green with the housing industry and organic within the supermarket. We the people are ready but lobbyists that represent the greed of corporations will do their best to keep entertaining with sex and money those that are supposed to represent we the people, but stuff their pockets with their own personal agenda. You would think that they would have learned from the last election that if you’re not doing what we elected you to do, that no matter how long you’ve been doing your so called job and no matter what party you belong to, greed and corruption will put you in the unemployed line.

Venus also deals with our allies. As we get into 2010 and 2011 look for our so called friends in the oil rich countries to get together and raise oil prices or some type of scheme is hatched so that we will begin to pay $5 to $6 for a gallon of gasoline. We are at the beginning of searching for alternative energy sources and we will be developing these alternatives but until they get into the main stream of society those countries will dime us to death which in a way makes it easier for the collective whole to shift into the future and leave the oil for those 3^rd world nations. Even though the U.S. will try to bring about some kind of mutual understanding with Iran, that country, like North Korea, will secretly develop nuclear weapons and threaten their regions as a whole. The U.S., with allies like Russia, Israel and China, will perform surgical strikes on strategic facilities to neutralize any problems in the future; this could play out in the spring of 2011.  Sometimes children need a good spanking. Venus is also money. Just pick up the newspaper and you see all kind of ads to buy your gold. If you really want to beat them at their own game, just wait until late in 2010 when gold will most likely double in its value. Look for major archaeology discoveries that reveal material rewards but more importantly spiritual information that will shatter our viewpoints on religion and our embryonic origins. Medical breakthroughs will extend life as well as resolve debilitating diseases. And, even though the most of the population is older, they will be looking much younger. We will go to Mars within the next 10 years and yes there is water and life there.

We need to understand that it would so nice to have these wonderful changes brought to us on a silver platter but that will not be the case. Many things that are being brought to the surface will cause us to realize how polluted our minds, life and our planet are. As I have already pointed out the direction that humanity is going in has been derailed. Most of us think we will get back on track shortly. If that were the case then none of this would have happened. This is a time of introspection because life as we know it is in a tailspin in which we will crash. It’s the resurrection that we need to think about. We have been imprisoned and put on a leash, being led around by people that do not want to change their conservative and traditional so-called values, but yet, they cheat on their wives and live within their own Hollywood apart from where the mainstream of life exists.  It’s time for new collective objectives and goals not only on the personal level but for our country. Once we take the lead into our new world, all will follow.

In the next 3 to 4 years we will see much more volcanic eruptions that will pollute our atmosphere, more earthquakes that will kill and displace millions of people, electromagnetic impulses form solar flare-ups and other cosmic sources bring power outages all over the world. These same impulses will change the weather patterns causing more hurricanes in new areas, dust bowls in the food heartland and the migratory patterns of birds and fish so who knows what will happen to many of our species. Insects especially mosquitoes will contribute to major pandemics throughout the world. So, not only our country but global epidemics, global economic collapse and global environmental disasters. These are things that will bring humanity together because there needs to be a global awakening, so that all understands we are in this together. Science, technology and the medical world will give us the antidote but it will take time for this catharsis of growth. In the meantime, it might be wise to have 10 to 12 cases of water, 25 pound bags of rice and flour, 3 or 4 cases of vegetables, and while I’m not an advocate of guns, it might be better to have a couple of weapons to protect you and your family from the Neanderthals that have little understanding of the changes that are going on. This is a time in which most of us will acclimate to new but yet basic understandings that we can change ourselves and the world we live in for the better. It’s just a matter of quantum mechanics. There is what they call creative visualization: concentrate on your idea and it will manifest from the dream world to the tangible world. We need to understand that fear can do the same, so try not to get caught up with getting things back to normal but concentrate in trying to understand these are positive changes that in the long run will create a divine awareness. As they say, there will be a greater good, but it will take 3 or 4 years not months, so be positive and flexible to this massive change.
